Hello, and welcome!

I’m Nikki, and I’m thrilled to have you here on my website. I invite you to journey with me as I delve into the captivating world of writing.

Every author has a unique backstory, and mine is no exception. My unexpected journey into writing was sparked by a series of life-changing events in 2019, which compelled me to write my memoir, Catch Me if I Fall, during the second lockdown.

Despite having no previous background in writing, it quickly became a powerful tool for processing trauma, confronting inner struggles, and discovering resilience and courage I never knew I possessed. My memoir became a testament to overcoming adversity and a voice for those affected by mental health stigma.

This profound journey led me to re-evaluate both my life and career, eventually guiding me towards mental health advocacy through writing and speaking engagements. As my passion for writing grew, I immersed myself in courses, poetry, and continued study of the craft. This exploration led to my women’s fiction novel, The Hoax, currently being re-edited, and my poetry collection, A Mother’s Lament, written during an especially difficult period in my relationship with my daughters.

More recent changes in 2024 marked the beginning of yet another chapter in my life, inspiring the memoir I am currently working on, Teenage Kicks, Take Two. Following my upcoming rebrand and name change, there will be many more updates to come.
